An ambitious culture has been achieved through the development of strong and positive relationships with staff, students, parents and carers. Our reflective approach means we are always striving to improve in all that we do and believe that mistakes are only an opportunity to learn.
Our Ethos and Values

Well-being at RFSS
At RFSS, the well-being of both our students and staff is central to everything we do. We believe that happy, healthy individuals are best placed to learn, grow, and thrive, and we work hard to create a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, safe, and listened to.
Our approach to well-being is underpinned by the 5 Ways to Well-being: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Give. These principles guide our daily practice across the school, shaping our curriculum, pastoral support, enrichment opportunities, and staff culture. Through strong relationships, active lifestyles, reflective moments, ongoing professional and personal development, and opportunities to contribute to our community, we actively promote positive mental health and resilience.
By embedding the 5 Ways to Well-being into school life, RFSS ensures that well-being is not an add-on, but a shared responsibility and a lived experience for both students and staff.
